Though I was born on the South Side, I became an avid Cubs fan as we moved to Round Lake when I was about 4 years old. At fourteen I left home to attend Holy Cross Minor Seminary on the campus of Notre Dame University and have been a part of that community for more than fifty years. For the past ten years I have been a teacher at
Notre Dame High School, serving as chairman of the Fine Arts Department and teaching various levels of Religion. I am pleased that while we have closed our residence here at the high school, the school is thriving under the new ownership and leadership. I am so happy to be permitted by my superiors to remain here and continue the work that I have enjoyed so much with our students.
Throughout my 38 years as a priest, I have lived in some very dynamic parish and educational settings. I have traveled with the Notre Dame University football, basketball and hockey teams as Chaplain. As an Art Historian and specialist in “Sacred Architecture” and Liturgy, I have traveled the world and had so many awesome experiences. I look forward to my years here at Queen of All Saints and feel blessed at the opportunity you are giving me to see the church at its best. At the high school and always, I am reminded of the Scripture which says that “The harvest is rich, so ask the master to send many more workers into the field”. I pray that from this blessed community all will be willing to answer their call of Baptism and consider a life of service in God's fields. Thank you, and God bless you all and this place.
