Curriculum
The curriculum
of Queen of All Saints School meets the requirements set forth by
both the State of Illinois and the Archdiocese of Chicago Office
of Catholic Schools.
The academic
curriculum of QAS is designed to nurture a child’s natural
curiosity about one’s self and one’s world. Progressive
curricula and stimulating teachers prepare QAS graduates for responsible
roles in tomorrow’s society.
In addition
to rigorous curricula in the core subject areas of reading, spelling,
grammar, mathematics, science, and social studies, QAS offers art
and music programs, computer literacy programs, physical education,
and Spanish in Junior High. All subject areas are infused with Catholic
focus and emphasis.
Standardized Test Scores
All Archdiocesan Schools administer the TERRA NOVA ACHIEVEMENT TEST. This assures
uniformity of testing information for all students within our system.
We are proud of the test results of our children, but they represent achievement in basic skills at one particular time. They should be reviewed in conjunction with the total school curriculum and level of instruction at Queen of All Saints School. As always, the faculty and staff will continue to encourage and support the children in our school.
Tests are administered to students in Grades 2 through 7.
