Social Justice Ministry
The Social Justice Ministry of Queen of All Saints seeks to be a model for social justice within the Catholic community of Chicago.

This ministry is committed to the recognition of the dignity of all people and the respect due to them, the eradication of racial and ethnic barriers and the promotion of a climate that recognizes social injustices and responds accordingly.

Following scripture, tradition and principles of Catholic social teachings, the mission of the Social Justice Ministry of Queen of All Saints is to work for justice through programs of education, dialogue and action.

Please contact the rectory for more information or to learn how you can take and active role in this important ministry.
Widowed Group
The Widowed Group was formed in 1984 to give ongoing support to widowed men and women. We welcome any person who has lost a spouse. We meet in the school on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:30 pm. Our meetings focus on the feelings and needs of our members. We utilize films, speakers, and published materials as a basis for discussion.

Two or three times a year we publish a newsletter with dates, times, and locations of social activities which have been planned by the group. These activities which occur once or twice each month, in addition to the meeting, include: dinners in restaurants, Sunday brunches, theater productions, trips to museums, a picnic, outings to Ravinia, Botanic Gardens, Navy Pier, Grant Park concerts and any current event the group decides would interest them. Members are free to come to any or all events and to bring a friend if they wish.

Membership dues are $10 each year to help pay for supplies. Each year we also plan a Spring and Fall weekend trip. Many have enjoyed these outings.

We are helping each other cope with our losses, sharing in rebuilding our lives, and finding strength in our group. We invite all widows and widowers in our parish and surrounding parishes to join us at any time. Come and meet others who are experiencing the same loss.

"Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is despair, let me bring hope,
where there is sadness, joy.”
Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi
