The Roman Missal, Third Edition, the ritual text containing prayers and instructions for the celebration of the Mass, is now being prepared for publication. It will be implemented in the United States on the First Sunday of Advent, November 27, 2011.

 

Many organizations and publishers are working to prepare the nation's Roman Catholics for the launch of the Roman Missal. Their websites offer a wealth of information including details surrounding the publication of the Roman Missal Third Edition, background information, ideas on how to prepare for its implementation, glossaries, side-by-side comparisons of the current and new texts, current news about the Third Edition, and resource materials for download.

United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, Washington, DC
The Bishops Committee on Divine Worship website contains catechetical materials for the translation of the 3rd Edition of the Roman Missal. This site also includes the texts of the Order of Mass that can be downloaded and printed for study. The texts will be updated as they become available.
