Children ages 0-5 and their caregivers are invited to our parish playgroup! We will meet on scheduled Mondays this spring for kid play time and adult conversation. Our meeting will be held in the 3rd floor SPRED room of the Benedict Center.
Join QAS and SMOW Racial & Social Justice Ministries on Wednesday, March 29 at 7:30 - 9 pm as we reflect on how we welcome others. The event will be both in person in the Benedict Center 2nd Floor Meeting Room (#202), and online via Zoom.
We have free lessons and playing time every Wednesday from 7pm to 9pm in the Parish Center beginning October 19. Enter through the north side of the Lemont school building. We know that our Easter collection is one of our two largest special collections of the year, and is a necessary part of our ability to support the many ministries, liturgies, and outreach that touch us throughout the year, even at times like now when our parish life is still not yet back to normal. The dedication of the people of Queen of All Saints to maintain our faith community in time of challenge has always been a hallmark of our parish.
As our Lenten journey will soon climax in the events of Holy Week and spill into the joy of the Easter season, we are also coming up on our deadline of completing our Disciple Maker Index (DMI) surveys. So, I appeal to you to please complete a survey. You can do it online through the parish website or you may take a paper copy from the vestibule in the basilica, complete it and drop it off at the rectory. Please note that this confidential and anonymous survey will help our parish, the archdiocese and the Church at large to plan for the future...
It is hard to believe that it was three long years ago that a global health crisis from COVID-19 was sprung on us very quickly and without warning. Every day seemed to bring more uncertainty and we were called to do our best for ourselves and for each other, even in our gatherings for Mass and other liturgies here at Queen of All Saints.
By the time you read this letter, you may be recovering from one or more St. Patrick’s Day parties, or preparing to celebrate the St. Joseph’s table. Some have remarked that all are Irish or Italian on these days, especially here at Queen of All Saints. Since the original St. Patrick’s Day party in the Queen of All Saints Gym in the 1950’s, we have celebrated all the people in our community every year; and this tradition has grown into the United Parish Program we enjoy today.
The Lenten season prepares us for the celebration of Easter, the most important day in our Christian calendar. It is a truly rewarding time for us to embrace the ancient triad of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving in a more focused way...
