THEME - Building a New Creation with Christ
In his Second Letter to the Corinthians St. Paul wrote, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” Life for us Catholic Christians is an experience of dying and rising, a continual transformation bringing us closer to Christ every day. We preserve and honor our Catholic traditions which help us to move forward through the power of the Holy Spirit to become more united as people of God as we help others beyond our faith community to recognize the presence of God in the world through our acts of charity and witness to the faith. While that is a very joy-filled task it is also loaded with challenges. Our Lenten Parish Mission will focus on how we as a community of faith can creatively and effectively live out our faith with integrity and assist God in making the world the peaceful and just place God longs for it to be!
