SPRED

MISSION
Special Religious Education (SPRED) welcomes those individuals who are challenged by developmental disabilities. Young people (11-16) with special needs are welcomed to participate in our special religious education program.

SPRED volunteer catechists (must be at least 21 years old) are offered training through the Archdiocesan SPRED program.  Each SPRED group has a core team made up of a Parish Chairperson, a Leader Catechist, and an Activity Catechist.  Helper Catechists are partnered with each person with special needs to be a faith friend and a witness.

MEETINGS
SPRED meets every other Monday evening in the Benedict Center on Ionia Avenue from October to May.
